DAVENTRY will be featured in a slot on Saturday Kitchen Live on Saturday.
The town was chosen by the programme to feature in its outside broadcast about wine recommendation.
Wine expert Susie Barrie was joined by a film crew at the town’s Tesco and Waitrose stores to make her recommendations for what to drink with two recipes on the show.
The crew also filmed in the High Street and Market Square, as well as at Daventry Country Park to create a ‘postcard’ of the town.
Producer Andy Clarke said: “We like to go to a different town or city each week to do the wine recommendations.
“This week the wine we were in Waitrose for was to go with a fougasse bread and a variety of dips which is being cooked by Richard Bertinet.”
The team spent most of the day filming in the two supermarkets and elsewhere around the town.
The two completed films for Saturday’s programme are expected to run for about one-and-a-half minutes each.
Saturday Kitchen Live, featuring Daventry, can be seen on BBC One at 10am
