A TOWN recruitment company has fended off competition from some of the UK’s biggest cities to win two prestigious industry awards.
Premiere People, which is based on New Street in Daventry, was recognised for its efforts at the group’s annual awards ceremony last month.
The whole team, consisting of Tracey Porter, Kelly McCleary, Sue Bowers, Natalie Alesbrook, Kerry Austin, Marissa Daley, Kate Oliff and Rachel Newman, won the award of recognition for branch contribution in improved revenue for 2010.
And Sue Bowers won an individual award for the highest revenue in commercial temporary division for the same year.
The firm was competing against 22 other branches at the ceremony.
Daventry manager Tracey Porter said: “It was really good to win the award, we are all very proud.
“We were competing against a lot of people and there are branches in big cities like Manchester and Coventry so for the Daventry branch to win is great.
“We’ve obviously had the recession and our branch was one of the first to see an improvement in business following that which was great.
“Now we are just busy all the time and all working very hard.
“I think the awards are down to the team being well maintained which means we have the same faces and our clients enjoy working with us. We all just all want the best for the company.”
Sue Bowers joined the team as an administrator in 2006 before being promoted to recruitment consultant the following year.
She said: “It’s really nice to be recognised for all the work you do during the year.
“It’s the first time I’ve won an award like this and I’m really thrilled to have received it.”
