The tiny hamlet of Winwick was featured on the BBC current affairs programme Newsnight last night (Wednesday).
The piece focused on the potential impact the district could face as new planning laws are set to be introduced. Critics say the new laws, which were designed to help local people, will make it easier for developers to build what they want.
Interviewed as part of the show was Daventry District Council leader Cllr Chris Millar, the town’s MP Chris Heaton-Harris and Winwick residents Sue and Trevor Sherman. It looked at the plans for seven wind turbines at Winwick.
