A £300,000 fund to help struggling businesses in the Daventry area has been launched by Northamptonshire County Council.
The authority has launched the Innovation and Enterprise Fund to “help secure economic stability” in the county.
The scheme will mean small and medium-sized businesses can bid for a rebate of up to 50 per cent on their business rates, up to a maximum of £20,000.
It is hoped the money they save will then be reinvested in such things as new machinery, new or expanded business premises or new technologies.
The county council has also set aside £200,000 to help redevelop disused land and buildings in the county.
