SCHOOLCHILDREN are being invited to get involved in the range of Easter holiday activities taking place across the district.

A football camp hosted by coaches from Northampton Town has been organised from Monday until Thursday next week from 10am to 3pm at Daventry Sports Park in Browns Road.

Arts and crafts sessions are also being held today (Thursday) at East Haddon Pavilion from 10am to 11.30am and at Spratton Village Hall from 12.30pm to 2pm.

Tomorrow (Friday) the classes will be at Weedon Village Hall from 10am to 11.30am and at Flore Millennium Hall from 12.30pm to 2pm.

Next week the arts and crafts sessions will be held at Brixworth Library on Tuesday from 11am to 1pm and at Long Buckby Library on Wednesday from 11am to 1pm.

And this week a cricket camp has also been running at Daventry Sports Park.

Alex Le Guevel, sports development officer at Daventry District Council, said: “The cricket camp sessions have been going really well, we’ve had around 25 youngsters come down to take part this week.

“Next week there will be a football camp delivered by qualified coaches from Northampton Town FC, as well as a host of other play sessions.

“So there is plenty to keep the kids occupied over the school holidays.”
