Be blinded by science at Daventry Museum

People in Daventry are invited to a free science event on Saturday, between 10am and 4pm.

Visitors to Daventry Museum will be able to discover the town’s past while also learn about STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) and follow Einstein around the museum to take part in fun activities and experiments on the theme of ‘Change’.

Hands-on activities include learning about changes in computer technology, changes in communications and materials changing state such as creating the foaming fizzy potion from the book, ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine’ by Roald Dahl.

There will be science themed activity sheets including word searches, object hunts and brain teasers.

Young visitors can choose a sticker and complete activity sheets to be in with a chance to win a prize.

Organisers say it promises to be a great day, with something for all ages.

Last year’s science event at the museum won the “Museum Event of the Year” category at the Northamptonshire Heritage Awards.
