TWO pupils from Guilsborough School are fundraising in a bid to go out to help in Namibia.
Melissa Scott, from Long Buckby, and Heather Lorimer, from Crick, will be looking to raise £3,850 to take part in numerous projects.
Melissa said: “We will be helping out in an orphanage as well as helping the local community. We will also do two treks and go on safari. It has been organised through the school and we think it will be a fantastic opportunity for us.”
The pair have currently raised £2,000. In a bid to further boost their funds, the West Haddon Players will be staging a murder mystery dinner night at Long Buckby Community Centre. The event will be held on Saturday, February 1 with doors opening at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Tickets are £15 each which includes a three-course dinner with a licensed bar.
It will be a chance for the visitors to play detective and work out who committed the murder. Tickets can be bought by calling Steve Scott on 07703 436 454 or email email@example.com.
