A14 delays after accident blocks road near M1/M6 junction

Police have warned of significant delays on routes surrounding the A14 M1 and M6 junctions this evening (Saturday).

Traffic using the eastbound carriageway off the M1 leading towards junction one of the A14, in the direction of Kettering, could face delays of at least 15 minutes.

Vehicles are crawling past the road traffic collision which is blocking the carriageway.

In a tweet Northants Road Crime Team said: "A14 eastbound closed from junction 19 M1 to junction 1 A14 due to an RTC blocking the road.

"If you are coming off the M6 to join the A14 eastbound there are significant delays."
