200 tickets in first month

MORE than 200 parking tickets have been handed out in the first month of wardens patrolling the district’s streets.

The parking wardens started issuing penalty tickets on June 17. Between then and July 9 a total of 220 tickets were issued.

In both months the biggest hot spot for parking tickets was High Street in Daventry, which saw a total of 69 tickets.

Other areas where many drivers appear to be getting caught are Foundry Place, North Street, Market Square, Sheaf Street and Newlands in Daventry.

The centre of Long Buckby has also seen several tickets issued.

Villages including Brixworth, West Haddon, Crick and Moulton have also had drivers ticketed.
