A dancing competition with a difference will be one of the star attractions for Daventry Arts Festival.
A Strictly Come Guide Dog dancing event for blind or partially sighted people to be held at Daventry Community Centre.
The event runs from 7.30pm to 11pm on Saturda July 11 with ballroom/ latin dance lesson for both partially sighted and sighted beginners 8pm to 9pm. Freestyle social and raffle runs from 9pm to 11pm.
The cost of the event is £7.50 including a buffet.
The festival will also see the innovative Emergency Poets who provide a poetic health consultation inside a 1970s ambulance.
Other highlights throughout the three-week festival include the return of the Strictly Daventry dancing competition run by Kate Fisher Dance Academy which see local celebrities compete to be king or queen of the dancefloor.
Daventry’s open air cinema event held at Daventry Country Park, is also part of the festival as are concerts by Daventry Choral Society, Daventry Brass and The JuditSingers.
