Hoteliers around the county are looking forward to welcoming visitors once again after the coronavirus lockdown and hope even more will look for a 'staycation'.
Northamptonshire: Britain's Best Surprise has put together a list of its top 20 hotels, B&Bs and self-catering accommodation to inspire holiday-makers.
"Situated in the attractive village of West Haddon, a warm and friendly welcome awaits at The Pytchley, where they balance brilliantly modern facilities with the informal atmosphere of a classic inn. Hospitality is at the heart of everything here, with a genuine desire to ensure the best possible guest experience. The hotel offers 18 en-suite rooms, bar, garden marquee, and a bustling restaurant with a far-reaching reputation. https://www.thepytchley.co.uk"
"Lower Farm is situated in the pretty village of Barnwell, Northamptonshire, which is a great location from which to explore the glorious Nene Valley; the Nene Way runs right through the farm, which is tucked away from busy roads, in a picturesque and traditional setting. There are ten en-suite rooms and good village pubs nearby; The Montagu Arms, only a short walk away, and the Falcon at Fotheringhay. This enduringly popular B&B offers a comfortable and relaxed country retreat, and its award-winning breakfasts are the perfect start to the day. https://www.lower-farm.co.uk" Photo: Midlands
"A cracking new boutique B&B just off the A43 in the village of Evenley, with excellent access to the motorway network. Lots of style, gorgeous comfortable rooms, plenty of off-road parking and a charming helpful host. The location is brilliant for superb local attractions including Evenley Wood Gardens, Bicester Village and Silverstone. Also enjoy the ease of ambling to the local pub - The Red Lion - or the Forge Coffee Shop, both on the glorious village Green. The Old Vicarage has 3 large rooms, of which 2 are located in the Coach House; independent from the Main House and purposely renovated for B&B guests. https://www.theoldvicarageevenley.co.uk" Photo: Midlands
