ALL the fun of the big top will be coming to Northampton next month.
Ingenious Comedy will be bringing Circus Hilarious to Midsummer Meadow from April 1-10.
The performances will mark the start of the show’s UK tour and, for the first time the company will also introduce a theatre-style big top called the Laughter Dome as part of the production.
Headlining is a father and son act christened the superstars of slapstick, Clive Webb and Danny Adams who have achieved success after winning the Ken Dodd Comedy Award.
Circus Hilarious is all about a ringmaster, played by Clive, the figure of dignity, constantly reduced to despair by the inane comedy of his son.
The show promises slapstick, magic, comedy, thrills and spills aplenty, making for two hours of crazy family entertainment.
Clive has appeared on children’s television programmes such as The Sooty Show, Crackerjack and Tiswas. Danny has appeared on The Tweenies and Angus Deayton’s It Shouldn’t Happen to a TV Presenter.
The pair will be joined by two other breathtaking acts, TJ Roberts and Sascha Williams who comes from Australia.
Others to join in the fun and games will be Captain Splat, the human cannonball and Professor Mick Potts alongside the clown rock band, Clownforce.
The line-up of performers is completed by the Circus Hilarious Show Girl Dancers which features the voice of Emily Swan.
Clive, the show’s producer and director, said: “This is our first venture into the big top and we plan to make it bigger and better with more comedy and more slosh than ever before.
“We want our audience to leave feeling uplifted and with aching sides and mum, dad and the kids wanting to come back for more!”
Tickets for the show cost between £7 and £13. They can be booked by calling The Laughter Dome on 07974 160858, through the box office at Royal and Derngate on 01604 624811 or at www.royalandderngate.co.uk. Further information is available at circushilarious.co.uk.
