Review: Midnight Tango at Milton Keynes Theatre

LAST night, I was transported to a bar in Buenos Aires, Argentina for a truly superb night of dancing, performed and choreographed by two of the stars of Strictly Come Dancing.

No words were spoken by Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace in Midnight Tango with the whole story told through dance and music.

Each dance, either fast or slow was performed beautifully, with passion and feeling which made me believe I was in the room with them.

The footwork was incredible, as were the lifts and turns and can honestly say I have never seen the tango interpreted in so many different ways.

The touch of humour supplied by the bar owner and his long suffering wife, was very well done with the audience laughing at the right moments.

The band’s music deserve praise, as they played live on stage, and became characters in the bar setting helping to bring the whole show to life.

If you love dance and are fans of Strictly Come Dancing, this is a show not to be missed, as it is dancing at its best.
