A RAILWAY at war event will be coming to the Daventry area at the weekend.
The Northampton and Lamport Railway will be hosting the 1940s event at Chapel Brampton on Saturday and Sunday.
It aims to provide an insight into life on the home front during the Second World War.
Visitors are encouraged to attend the event in period dress – 1940s civilian clothing or military uniform. There will also be a 1940s dance held on the Saturday evening when Miss Lola Lamour will be hosting from 7.30pm to 11pm alongside DJ JP.
The event is not included in the entrance and costs an extra £7.50. These can be booked by calling 01536 763555.
The Railway at War weekend runs from 10am to 5pm with the last entrance at 4pm.
Entrance costs £10 for adults, £8 for senior citizens and £5 for children. Family tickets cost £25.
