Daventry Mayor Malcolm Ogle enjoyed a sports open day that included bowls, archery and squash at the weekend.
He visited Daventry Town Bowling Club on Saturday to plant a tree in commemoration of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II.
In addition to lawn bowls, guests also learned about rugby, table tennis, bowls and the Reach for Health centre.
Club President, Keith Bishop, and Chairman, Phillip Silk-Neilsen, said the day was a great success.
