National Cake Week: So what are the UK’s favourite cakes?
In honour of National Cake Week, and the final of this year’s Great British Bake Off, we ask what are the UK’s favourite cakes?

Since 2011 #NationalCakeWeek has been, according to the Clandestine Cake Club: “all about baking a cake and getting together with family and friends. No competition, no judging, just having fun, eating and sharing cake.
“Pick a day during National Cake Week to have your gathering. Invite people to bake a cake and bring it along to your party.
“Share in the joy of creating something so nice and homemade as the humble cake.” More at clandestinecakeclub.co.uk.
