A COMEDY from the master of farce will be presented at Rugby Theatre starting on Saturday.

It Runs in the Family follows the story of high-flying Dr David Mortimer who is rehearsing his speech for the prestigious Ponsonby Lecture, which almost certainly will propel his career into the stratosphere.

In bursts an old flame, hotly pursued by her (their?) son, who is hotly pursued by the police.

With the reluctant help of his sidekick Hubert, David begins piling lie on top of lie to protect his career, and everything spirals completely out of control.

A frantic farce is filled with snappy dialogue and non-stop comedic antics which will have the audience rolling with laughter.

The script is by Ray Cooney who wrote – Tom, Dick and Harry which was previously performed at the theatre back in 2010.

The show runs until Saturday, July 13 with no performance on Sunday and starts at 7.30pm each night.

Tickets can be booked at the box office by calling 01788 541234 or by visiting www.rugbytheatre.co.uk. They cost £11 each.
