Weedon boxing academy rings in changes thanks to £1,000 donation

Weedon Boxing Academy, a boxing club for ages 10 and above, received the money from the Amazon fulfilment centre in Daventry.

The boxing academy plans to use the donation from Amazon to purchase new equipment and upgrade its facilities for young boxers to enjoy when lockdown restrictions ease.

Gareth Davies, Site Leader at Amazon in Daventry, said: “We have lots of sports enthusiasts on our team, so we’re pleased to support Weedon Boxing Academy with this donation.”

Aaron Hill from Weedon Boxing Academy, added: “Thank you to Gareth and the team at Amazon for this donation. Our members have really missed visiting our club and this donation will help us provide an even better training experience once everyone can safely return.”

Weedon Boxing Academy received the donation as part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities around its operating locations across the UK.

Community donations are one of a number of ways in which Amazon is supporting communities across the UK during the coronavirus pandemic.
