Some villages have even dressed their windows to depict various scenes related to the season.

Claire Crisp, who lives in Woodford Halse, supplied treats for children in her village.

She said: "There's 24 bags of chocolate treats on our bench for anyone who would like to but is unable to give their little ones a treat."

Celebrating the day in West Haddon will be Caitlin Farey, 11, and her family.
