Beatrice Snelson, 8, thought it would be a kind gesture to hand deliver beautifully wrapped chocolate eggs to her neighbours in the village.

The Crick Primary School pupil included a positive poem with her seasonal gift called 'Hope on a Rope' by Brian Bilston.

Beatrice's aim is to give out 150 eggs.

Her mother, Elizabeth, said: "She really is a lovely little girl with so much love to give.

"Dropping a message of hope and something sweet through people's doors was her way of saying Happy Easter to the residents of Crick."
