Hide AdSnake In The Grass tells the story of a woman who has lost her dog and is haunted by the ghost of her mother.
He said: “I have lived in villages a lot of my life and this book was inspired by a tight-knit community but there are still plenty of secrets in place.
“This was a different challenge because this was a contemporary novel whereas my previous book had been set in history, so it was about finding a different way of writing.
“I am really pleased with the end result and the cover is really striking, it looks good.”
He is already starting work on a new book which he hopes will be published in the new year and says is likely to have a historical setting.
