Church hosts Fiori concert

A CHURCH at Fawsley will be reverberating to music evocative of the English countryside next month.

Counter tenor James Bowman will be at the hamlet on Sunday, September 9 performing a programme of quintessentially English music with baroque chamber group Fiori Musicali.

Penelope Rapson, the group’s direction, said: “It is always a great pleasure to perform with Mr Bowman. He works with us a lot and has recorded with us too.”

For this concert Fiori are playing music by Vaughan Williams and Warlock.

Penelope aded: “No-one captures England’s green and pleasant land quite like Vaughan Williams and William Blake.

“And the combination of this evocative music in the beautiful setting of Fawsley’s Church together with the outstanding voice of James Bowman should be an unmissable experience for both regular and occasional concert-goers.”

The show starts at 7pm and tickets cost between £15 and £20. For more information or to book tickets for the concert, call 01327 360931 or visit
