Christmas concert comes to Daventry

DAVENTRY Brass will be performing at a Christmas concert later this month.

The band will play a selection of traditional music and, with audience participation, Christmas carols.

The Air Cadets from 497 (Daventry) Squadron will be entertaining the audience with some unaccompanied singing and a marching display.

A number of Royal British Legion Standards will also be paraded.

During the evening there will be a short Service of Remembrance, and tea, coffee and mince pies will be served at the interval. A raffle will also be held.

It has been a busy time for Daventry Brass who appeared at the Leicestershire Open Brass Band contest held in Loughborough last month, The band achieved second place in the second section playing Philip Harper’s ‘Kingdom of Dragon

Tickets for the concert cost £7.50 and can be bought from the local Branch of the Royal British Legion, Dennetts, Osbornes Stationers and La Patisserie in the town. They can also be bought on the door on the night.
