ONE of David Bowie’s greatest albums is the inspiration behind an art exhibition being held at Rugby Art Gallery.

The Tantalus Project – a collective of artists working in a range of media - is putting on a show called Scary Monsters and Super Creeps.

Taking Bowie’s 1980 album Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps) as a starting point, the exhibits include a ‘Giant Gallon Cup’ and a ‘Spoil of Gronkles’.

Spokesman for the group, Pete Thornley, said: “Expect the unexpected and prepare to enter the debate Tantalus always raises – what is art?”

The show runs until Monday, January 6 at the Floor One Gallery.
