The first artist in residence has been announced at Sulgrave Manor.
Over the next three months Alan Perriman from Surrey will produce work of the home of George Washington’s ancestors. The art will then be available for sale at the property in October.
“We are delighted to be working with Alan,” says Helen Clark, archivist at Sulgrave.
“We have wanted to run such an opportunity for some time but didn’t know how to go about it.
“So I am grateful to Creative Coverage for helping us introduce this scheme.”
From the end of July Sulgrave Manor is also hosting regular art exhibition with a wide range of Creative Coverage artists.
“It’s already a fabulous day out that attracts many thousands of visitors every year and this is another reason to visit Sulgrave Manor this summer,” says Helen.
The first Creative Coverage Group Exhibition will take place from August 2 to September 1 and features the work of artists including Alan Perriman, Frances Bildner, Claire Gill, Susan Thomson and Peter Thwaites.
