A BAROQUE and classical music group will be performing a series of traditional Christmas carols next month.

Fiori Musicali, pictured above, will be performing on Saturday December 8 at 7.30pm at Number 9 Derngate, the new contemporary art gallery in Northampton.

The group will be there in Victorian costume, helping to celebrate the gallery’s roots with a look back at the ghost of Christmas past.

Catherine Hemelryk, the gallery’s artistic director, said: “This is an opportunity to get a sneak peek at our exciting new space at Number 9 Derngate and discover what new projects are in the pipeline, as well as hearing Fiori’s award-winning choir, who will be taking us all on a Christmas expedition to discover something of how Christmas was celebrated in early Victorian times.”

Tickets for the show are selling fast and it is recommended to get them in advance.

To hear the traditional readings and enjoy the glow of Christmas, call the box office on 01327 360931, email fiori@fiori-musicali.com or visit www.fiori-musicali.com.
