A flamboyant duo bring a new show to village hall

A night of top music in a unique style will be coming to a live show at Staverton Village Hall at the weekend.

Shoo Shoo Baby present their new show Off The Scale on Saturday. The group has previously toured festivals, cruise ships and international events.

The new show include witty new arrangements of much-loved songs, outrageously flamboyant new costumes and water-tight harmonies.

Such songs as There’s No Business Like Show Business’, Some Like it Hot’ and Stray Cat Strut’ are given the unique Shoo Shoo treatment.

An eclectic cast of composers including, Cole Porter, Elvis Costello, Count Basie and Verdi are performed alongside songs written by the Shoo Shoos themselves

The ladies also let themselves loose on a range of instruments including the musical saw, the kazoo, the autoharp and a glockenspiel.

The concert has been booked through Northants Touring Arts and will also be appearing at Byfield Village Hall tonight (Thursday).

The same show can also be seen at the Wootton Memorial Hall in Northampton tomorrow (Friday) night starting at 8pm.
