Daventry logistics firm workers self-isolating after colleague tests positive for coronavirus

Workers at a logistics company in Daventry are self-isolating after one of their colleagues tested positive for coronavirus.

XPO Logistics confirmed a member of staff has Covid-19, which they caught outside of work.

Six other employees who they came into close contact with have been told to self-isolate at home while the rest of the workforce were informed on Monday (May 11).

A spokesman for XPO Logistics said the site had been deep cleaned as a precaution too.

"The safety of our employees is our first priority, and we are doing everything we can to protect them," they said.

"We continue to follow the evolving UK Government and Public Health England guidance, ensuring we protect our employees with the appropriate health and safety measures."
