This morning I was delighted to visit Braunston CE Primary School, home to this year's winner of my Christmas Card Competition.

During the school assembly, I presented certificates to four talented pupils: runner-ups Ivy-Mae Perkins and Hope Asenden, third-place winner Isaac Turner, and first-place winner Sadie Gardner. I was also pleased to meet their parents. As I mentioned to the school, from the remarkable two hundred entries received, I chose the winners based purely on their designs, without looking at names or schools. Braunston is truly full of talent!

For her outstanding work, Sadie received a parliamentary teddy bear and a special parliamentary notebook for school. She was also presented with a Christmas card signed by the Speaker of the House, Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP. The children presented with certificates were also given a Christmas Card, which also features their designs.

Afterwards, I was amazed to see the school's own "Elfridges," where over 400 presents have been prepared for children to give to their parents this Christmas.

I also had the pleasure of meeting with the school's Council, where pupils questioned me on important topics including school funding, reducing single-use plastics, road repairs, and hospitals.

I look forward to visiting again in the new year.
