These smiling party people were pictured at Kilsby Village Hall, we think in the early 1960s.

It's interesting to note the fashions and how some of the garments have come back in under the vintage label.

The other picture features a hog roast at the village hall from around 1965-66. The village butcher is Dave Weston, who is pictured with other lifelong Kilsbeians.

The invoice is from Lusty’s Motor Services, who were based opposite Malt Mill Green where the new estate is.

Peter Kay, who supplied the images, said: "Before that it was Beech Autos and Blue Boar for many decades and Lees House was situated there. I was lucky enough to live there 55-62 and it was the oldest house in the village."

His parents Frederick Peter Kay, known as Danny, and mum Rena Emily Emma are in one of the photos.
