Kirstie and a Channel 4 production crew came to Northamptonshire in May this year to film the episode which aired on Thursday featuring various locations around the county.

Married couple Rinku and Sunder had been living in a family-owned property for the last years but with the house due to be demolished, they were left searching for a new home.

The film crew shot scenes in Northampton town centre before heading to the village of Crick where Rinku and Sunder were filmed in the garden of a village pub.

Rinku and Sunder were showed around houses in Crick and Mawsley near Kettering but neither were to their taste.

They finally settled on a house in Cold Ashby, which they described as their ‘perfect location’.

The property deal was sealed by Kirstie in Red Lion pub in Thornby.

After the show went out on Thursday the pub tweeted: “Many thanks to #locationlocationlocation & @KirstieMAllsopp for filming in our pub @redlionthornby #teacosy”

Phil Spencer was searching for properties in Warwickshire in the countryside around Stratford-upon-Avon.

Phil described Warwickshire and Northamptonshire as two of the most beautiful counties in the country.

The four bedroom detached house Rinku and Sunder viewed in Crick is still on the market with Long Buckby-based agent Laurence Tremayne for £259,950.

Kirstie said the property was one of the ‘worst laid out houses’ she’d ever seen. However she said the family home had a huge amount of space and potential, describing it as a ‘developers dream’.
