Anytime Fitness is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is owned by entrepeneur Raja Hasib, who already owns another club in Oxfordshire.

It will also offer a substantial group exercise class timetable which in line with Government guidelines, is due to commence from May 17 if the roadmap continues to schedule. As part of Anytime Fitness’ ‘join one, join all’ benefit, members can access all 175+ UK clubs and 4,500+ worldwide locations at no extra cost.

“This is a day we’ve been waiting a long time for,” said Ashley Towne, Club Manager at Anytime Fitness Daventry.

“It’s a time to feel positive with restrictions beginning to ease and it’s been amazing to welcome the local community through our doors. As an independently owned business, community will be at the heart of everything we do and we aim to provide a friendly environment with all the equipment people need to support their health goals.”

With opening delayed by several lockdowns in the past few months, the staff at Anytime Fitness Daventry used their time to work as local Covid-19 volunteers with Daventry Volunteer Centre. Ashley and colleague Yasir Naas were regularly out in the area delivering much-needed food parcels and prescriptions to those unable to leave their homes.

Ashley said: “It’s been great to see the positive reaction we’ve received during our socially distanced activity in the local area and it’s so exciting that everything we’ve worked towards with the opening is now here.”

Gyms across England reopened on April 12 and visitors to Anytime Fitness Daventry will find a range of measures to keep them safe, including spaced equipment to ensure social distancing, significantly upweighted internal cleaning regimes and self-serve cleaning stations, capacity management and increased ventilation.
