The new warehouse will bring more than 400 jobs to the area.

Job opportunities are being brought to the area by Global Reach Logistics, a third-party logistics provider offering warehousing, express delivery and fufilment solutions.

The facility will serve as GRL’s main distribution centre in the UK and is intended to support the rapid growth of online retailers.

Bosses at the new 260,000 sq ft warehouse say the prime location will be impressive for business growth, utilising the logistic hub in Daventry to streamline the operation.

“We look forward to expanding our logistics network and expanding our business to offer customers an opportunity to streamline their fulfilment," said Harry Johnson Sales & Marketing Director.

“At GRL, we have the vision to become the UK’s leading fulfilment solution for e-commerce businesses. From this location, we are excited to welcome over 400 new employees to our facility over the coming year”.

The pandemic has seen e-commerce thrive in the current market with advancements predicted to be five years ahead of its time.

The business has invested heavily in advanced technology for the new site, including a sophisticated conveyer belt system creating a dynamic operation.

Mr Johnson added: "We are thrilled to welcome new team members on board in what will be a very exciting year ahead for our business and everyone involved."
