Market Harborough Building Society wins high profile mortgage industry awards

Market Harborough Building Society (MHBS) is celebrating success at the 2025 Mortgage Introducer Awards, where it scooped two wins: Excellence in Philanthropy & Community Service and Bridging Lender of the Year.
The Society is delighted to be recognised not only for its specialist lending expertise, but also for the values that underpin everything it does. The Excellence in Philanthropy & Community Service award reflects Market Harborough’s long-term commitment to its Thrive Agenda – a programme dedicated to giving back to colleagues, customers and the wider community.
Lesley Vernon, Chief Engagement Officer at Market Harborough Building Society, said: “We’re proud to have been recognised with two awards - a testament to the passion and commitment of our colleagues and the unwavering support of our members. Winning the Excellence in Philanthropy & Community Service award reflects our shared vision of creating meaningful change in the community. Together, we’re driving real impact through initiatives like the £250k Thrive Forward Programme, empowering young people to thrive and build brighter futures.”
Earlier this year, the Society launched its £250k Thrive Forward Programme, an initiative designed to help young people in the local community access opportunities and develop skills. For more information, visit mhbs.co.uk/thrive-agenda/.
Alongside its community work, Market Harborough continues to deliver mortgage solutions for complex cases and bridging finance scenarios, exclusively through broker partners. The Society was delighted to receive the award for Bridging Lender of the Year, recognising its specialist lending expertise.
The annual Mortgage Introducer Awards celebrate excellence across the UK financial services industry, with winners chosen from among the biggest and best names in the sector. Market Harborough was also shortlisted in five further categories including Mortgage Lender of the Year, Employer of Choice and Excellence in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
For Market Harborough Building Society, the recognition is a celebration not only of its role in the mortgage market, but also of its deep roots in the local community.
