Hide AdRyan said: “As builders, we are conscious that much of our work involves altering the natural environment and through this pledge we hope to give something back.
"The Woodland Trust describes trees as the 'ultimate carbon capture and storage machines'. In fact, a young wood with mixed native species can lock up 400+ tonnes of carbon per hectare in trees, roots and soil."
He said planting more trees is a great way to help reduce carbon emissions, but it is only part of the solution. Ryan and his team also work to ensure each project is as sustainable as possible.
Ryan added: “Increasingly our customers want to know what measures we are taking to be more sustainable as a business. We reuse and recycle materials where possible, but we know this is not always enough.
