Champagne corks popping at barber's shop to celebrate 25 years serving the Daventry community

Champagne corks have been popping at Vital Saloons, run by Nic Clift, in Bowen Square.

But the team have been too busy post-lockdown to properly celebrate the business's anniversary.

Nic said: "The job has changed a lot over the years.

"What hasn't changed is the absolute joy of seeing customers become friends."

A team of three staff work at the shop, which has earned itself a good reputation in the town.

It's clear that Nic has never lost his passion and dedication to his craft.

He added: "It certainly doesn't feel like 25 years, it has flown by - at least when my feet aren't aching!"

Nic said the team were too busy to acknowledge the actual day of the anniversary last week.

"The following day we just had a bottle of Champagne," he added.

"We will go for a nice curry when things are quieter."
