Uncovering macabre terrors of Northampton’s past at walk
A journey through the ghosts and ghouls and monsters and the macabre can go along to a ghost walk around Northamtpton next week.
Looking Glass Theatre is putting on the terrifying tales at various times between Monday October 26 to Saturday October 31.
This year the walk will explore the Heritage Gateway to the town, situated on the historic Black Lion Hill.
The theatrical guide will take you on a journey through tales of the ghostly and macabre from this historically significant part of the town including visits to the 900 year old St Peter’s Church, stated to be the most outstanding Norman Church in the country.
The tour will also take in Hazelrigg House, a Tudor town house dated from the late 16th century and famous for being one of the few buildings to survive the Fire of Northampton in 1675.
Come and hear tales of ghostly apparitions from days gone by, of trapped spirits in cellars, and mysterious footsteps enriched with a glimpse of Northampton’s historical past.
Children’s ghosts walks are available on Monday. All tickets are £10. To book call 01604 631764.
