Julian Clary to celebrate 30 years of comedy at Derngate

Tickets have gone on sale for a show which sees Julian Clary celebrate 30 years as a comedian.

He will stop off at the Royal and Derngate in Northampton on Saturday, April 30 next year as part of his UK tour The Joy Of Mincing.

On stage, the entertainer is set to talk about his sordid love life, how he saved Dame Joan Collins’ life and many more wild anecdotes - with some audience participation.

Julian first began his career as a comedian in the 1980s, embarking on several successful tours.

His last tour Position Vacant: Apply Within came to the Royal and Derngate in 2012, which was prwidely aised by audiences and critics alike.

The comedian also has a notable career in pantomime - including a starring role as Spirit of the Bells in the Royal and Derngate’s 2006 pantomime Dick Whittington.

More recently, he presented a three-part nature programme on ITV called Nature Nuts, which aired back in August.
