Go berserk at Northampton circus
A daring display of wonder and magic is coming to Northampton's Derrngate stage later this month.
Cirque Berserk can be seen from Tuesday to Saturday March 18.
Direct from six sold-out seasons in London’s Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, and from three packed out theatre tours, one of Britain’s most contemporary thrill circus, Cirque Berserk, comes to the area for five days.
Showcasing the finest in traditional circus skills, Cirque Berserk brings this treasured form of live entertainment bang up-to- date in a jaw-dropping spectacular – created especially for theatres.
Combining contemporary cirque-style artistry with adrenaline-fuelled stunt action, this astoundingly talented international troupe includes over thirty jugglers, acrobats, aerialists, dancers, musicians and death-defying stunt men, along with the award-winning clown Tweedy.
He is described by the organisers as a comedy and slapstick legend.
No matter what he does, Tweedy seems to get into a mess, but to the delight of audiences of all ages he can always find a creative way to get out of it.
The show also features the world’s most hair-raising circus act, the legendary Globe of Terror, with three motorcyclists speeding at over 60mph inside a steel cage.
Cirque Berserk is a danger-filled spectacle that will amaze audiences of all ages.
Top critics from the national and regional press love the show – The Sun gave it five stars and said ‘It’s great for kids and even better for adults’ !
Meanwhile The Daily Telegraph highlighted the :‘Eye popping acrobatic feats defying the laws of physics’.
Performances take place at 7.30pm from Tuesday to Friday and then 1.30pm, 4.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday. Tickets for the show cost £13.50 and £27.
