Comedian looking to be the sound of the Underground

The host of the Comedian's Comedian podcast with more than 3.5 million downloads is bringing his first UK tour to the Underground venue at the Royal & Derngate on Saturday April 15.

Stuart Goldsmith is priding his show on no gimmicks, powerpoint, no voyage of discovery, just an hour of stand up.

The show is bursting with jokes about people who run to work, Wagamama noodles, crying babies, posh coffee, Jack Reacher novels and even dementia, but Stuart says there’s also secretly a message if you squint,

He added: “In my podcast I interview famous comics from to Matt Lucas to Sarah Millican, in depth about their creative process.

“I’ve cultivated a huge following including loads of TV names, who all want to know how other comics write their jokes. It’s certainly helped me unlock the secrets of stand-up.”

Last year he made appearances on Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled and at the LA Podfest in Los Angeles, and Montreal’s Just For Laugh’s comedy festival.
