Circus act ready to shock audiences at Royal & Derngate
The Circus of Horrors has come up with a new show, The Curse of the Devil Doll, which, as the story goes, takes its name from a series of unexplained and near-fatal incidents on the last tour (vehicles carrying the sinister puppet apparently exploded and crashed and sword swallower Hannibal Hellmurto ruptured his oesphagus with a lit neon tube as the doll came to life). Circus impresario Dr Haze reportedly faced a near mutiny as the cast refused to travel with the doll.
But, unperturbed by the weird occurrences, Haze has put the story of the doll at the centre of the new show, which takes audiences back to 1927 Berlin, the home of the Devil Doll.
