Ghostly goings on during guided Guilsborough walk

Guilsborough Music and Drama Society has teamed yp with The Witch and Sow pub in the village to hold a ghost walk weekend.

One of the event organisers Pam Townsend from the society said: “Guilsborough has a fascinating history, with several ghosts, authenticated by eye witnesses.

“It was also the scene of witchcraft in 1612 and a gruesome murder in the 18th. Century. You may well encounter a ghost or two, as the story unfolds!”

The event will run on both Friday and Saturday this week.

People looking to take part are asked to meet at the pub courtyard at 7pm for complimentary hot toddy before the walk commences at 7.30pm.

Organisers have urged people attending to dress appropriately plus sensible shoes, as part of the walk is through a garden with wooded area. The walk will go ahead unless there is severe weather.

The walk will end with a hot supper in The Witch & Sow. Tickets are £15 available from Frances 01604 740549 or The Witch & Sow 01604 743888. Children 12 and over, who must be accompanied by an adult.
