A balloon festival will be celebrating its 25th year with more than 40 pilots taking part.
Northampton Balloon Festival runs at Billing Aquadrome and organisers have praised its location.
One of of the organisers Barry Newman said: “Billing Aquadrome provides a good location for the Balloon Festival.
“It is one of the events that Northampton is known for around the world.”
The festival takes place between August 15 and 17.
The organisers are now hoping for good ballooning weather to allow flights and the famous Saturday night ‘balloon glow’ to take place.
It is organised by local balloonists Barry Newman, John Tyrrell, Stewart Wilyman and Wendy Rousell, who took over the event in 2009 from Northampton Borough Council.
Entrance is £10 for a car and up to four passengers. An adult ticket is £5, or £3 for children. These can be bought on the day.
