PAULINE Quirke, Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph return to some of their starring roles as Birds of a Feather flies into the Derngate stage.

The story unfolds with favourites, Sharon and Tracey bickering at home which provides plenty of laughs from the start. They pop along to a retirement home having received a letter from their old neighbour Dorien.

It turns out she actually owns it, but the scene where Sharon and Tracey chat to a resident they have mistaken for Dorien is hilarious and culminates in Lesley Jospeh’s first appearance on stage.

It is a great mixture of the old parts from the TV series and new topical moments including The Horsemeat scandal and a reference to Linda’s appearance in the Jungle in 2012.

The evening was absolutely fantastic and a laugh a minute, helped along by the cast sometimes giggling themselves, the brilliant acting by all, and the unquestionable chemistry and friendship. A great show.
