Snappers with varying degrees of experience will be showcasing their work through the lens with a display that opened up at the weekend.

The Daventry Photographic Society host its annual exhibition at the town’s library in North Street.

It is the latest of many exhibitions at the library and there are more than 80 photos on display and many of them will be available to purchase at a price of £10.

Organisers believe that it could be the largest ever sale of individual photos in Daventry.

The opening ceremony was held at the library on Saturday.

A spokesman for the group said: “The Daventry Photographic Society continues to thrive with a continually growing membership.

“We help and support the annual Daventry Arts Festival. We are always looking for new members and welcome contact from anyone who may be interested in joining the society.”

Anyone interested in the group can visit www.daventryphotographicsociety.co.uk or go to www.facebook.com/daventryphotographicsociety.

The exhibition can be seen during regular library opening hours until October 31.
