Artist Kathryn Callaghan will open her first English

exhibition in Daventry.

The gallery will take place at the Evergreen Art Cafe on Sheaf Street, Daventry on Saturday, September 19.

Callaghan lives and works in Northern Ireland, using an ink and gel mixture to paint her artworks freestyle.

Her works are inspired by the environments that surround her. Free from pencil marks, she intends to evoke a sense of energy, life and beauty for each subject that she is painting.

She is a graduate of Belfast Metropolitan College and the University of Ulster, aiming to create accessible art for all.

Her past collections have contained artworks of animals and wines, which have appeared in galleries in the UK and the US, in Ohio and Pennsylvania. She has worked with private collectors and interior designers.

This newest exhibition is hosted at the Evergreen Art Cafe, an independent gallery that works with top publishers to showcase work from the UK’s best artists.

She will be visiting between 11am and 3pm.
