Families can enjoy a range of fun activities at Daventry Country Park including the annual Easter Hunt and bonnet competition.

Registration for the hunt, taking place on Easter Monday, April 6, begins at 10am at the visitors centre. Families can also follow the clues along the Eggsplorer Trail, answering questions as they go to win a prize at the end.

Children are also invited to get creative by designing colourful Easter bonnets for a competition sponsored by Daventry Town Council.

Bonnets should be dropped off at the Visitor Centre by 10.20am where they will be judged by the Mayor of Daventry, Cllr Ron Fox, together with members of The Friends of Daventry Country Park. The winners will be announced at 10.45am.

The event is also supported by the Daventry Express, which has published a coupon on page 12 of its March 26 edition which people need to fill in and take along on the day to register for the free hunt. The coupon will be published gain in the April 2 edition.

On Wednesday April 8, children can also learn bushcraft skills at events running from 10am and 11am. Entrance is £1 to this event.
