Free spooky treasure hunt at Country Park

DAVENTRY Country Park will be filled with little ghouls and monsters for a special free Halloween event.

Children are being invited along to take part in a special spooky treasure hunt and other fun competitions.

Youngsters are encouraged to wear Halloween fancy dress and search for sweet treats at the special event later this month.

There will also be competitions to find the best carved pumpkin and best costume.

Every child who registers will be given a free gift.

The event is the first of its kind at the Country Park, and is being organised by Daventry District Council and the Daventry Express.

Families wanting to take part need to take along one coupon per child to register on the day. Coupons are in the Daventry Express on October 20 and 27.

People wanting to take part need to cut out the coupon on the left and bring it with them to the park’s visitor centre from 3.30pm on Sunday, October 30.

All children must be accompanied by an adult and will need to bring torches with them.
