Canons Ashby House will be throwing open its doors from Saturday, September 20, for its Victorian Harvest Festival.

The house will be decorated in Autumn splendour with a cast of Victorian characters to interact with.

Canons Ashby will be showcasing its wide variety of apples from the orchards while visitors will have the chance to try homemade jams, chutneys and juices, as well as stalls selling crafts, ales by Frog Island and wines. You can even find out how to make your own.

Immanuel’s Ground, a traditional English ‘quire’ will sing folk songs in costume in the priory on Sunday afternoon, and sing a traditional evensong at 5pm.

Canons Ashby tea rooms, shop, church and grounds are open from 10.30am, and the house opens from 1pm. Activities start at 11am. To find out more about the weekend, call 01327 861900 or email canonsashby@nationaltrust.org.uk.
