DAVENTRY Town “B” suffered a narrow defeat against a very strong West End B side despite the 1–5 final score, losing two rinks by only one point and another by three points, with an overall score of 53 scored and 59 against.

N’ Express. “B” 2 (67) Daventry Town “A” 4 (67).

Daventry Town “A” continued their good start to the season, having now won their first three games of the season, all of which have been played away from their home green.

Although the overall score was equal giving both teams one point each, Daventry Town “A” won three of the four rinks, resulting in a good 4-2 away win.

The game was very tight at the end with the overall score being 66 to 67 in favour of N’ Express “B” with one end on rink one still playing and the overall shots scored being worth two points. Michael Moulton’s rink managed to get the one point needed for the shots scored point.

Daventry Town’s next game is a friendly against Kislingbury at home today (Thursday) 2.30pm and the next Monday night triples league games will be against Roade and Carlsberg.
